Our Mission

"To create high quality trail experiences by advocating for, building, and maintaining trails which are progressive, diverse, and promote community"

Redding Trail Alliance was formed in 2016 because as individuals we each saw the potential Redding has to become a world class place to ride your mountain bike. While this desire is still our main motivating force, we have expanded and evolved to accept responsibility for creating and maintaining quality trails for all user groups.

After spending the winter of 2015-16 working with Brian Sindt from the McConnell Foundation to construct Trail 58 and the French Fry we realized that we could work with our local BLM field office to build trails beyond the scope of what we had seen done before. Because of the vast area’s of BLM land that surround Redding combined with the existing trail system, the potential was there. A few of us that spent that winter working with Brian reached out to fellow trail enthusiasts and formed what became the Board of RTA. By-laws were written and money put in the pot for the needed funds to create the non-profit. The rest as they say, is history.
