For the first time ever, Redding Trail Alliance is expanding our community by launching a membership program! Why has it taken us this long? Well, we love trails, in fact we eat, sleep and dream trails. Back in 2016 when we launched our non-profit, we were guided by passion and the support of our community. We honestly didn’t know a darn thing about the non-profit world which included things like, fundraising, grant writing, budgeting, planning, community outreach, etc. etc. etc.. The only thing we really knew is that we wanted Redding to have the absolute best trails possible.
Fast forward to now and you can say we have grown a little bit. Like the quote on our home page says, we did the best we could and when we learned better, we’ve changed to do better. So in an effort to connect more with our community and to become more financially sustainable, we have amended our by-laws to allow us to have members!
By becoming a member of Redding Trail Alliance, not only are you directly contributing to the health of our trail system, but you are also getting some epic perks from amazing local business, and a direct line of communication with us and our partners. Your input will be listened to and will influence everything we do going forward. How? Not only will you get weekly email updates on all that we have going on, but you will get an invite to quarterly membership meetings where we will update you on our current projects, any big vision plans we have brewing, and news from our partners such as the City of Redding, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service and the National Forest Service.
